GB/T 15166.3-2023 High-voltage alternating-current fuses—Part 3:Expulsion fuses
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions of spray fuses, their usage conditions, rated values and characteristics, design, structure and performance, type testing and factory testing requirements.
This document is applicable to indoor or outdoor spray fuses in AC power systems with a nominal voltage of 3 kV and above and a frequency of 50 Hz.
Spray fuses are fuses that extinguish the arc by the jetting effect of the gas generated by the internal arc.
According to the transient recovery voltage (TRV) capability, spray fuses are divided into Class A and Class B.
This document only addresses the performance of fuses. Each fuse is composed of a fuse base, fuse element and fuse link specified in this document that have passed the tests. The performance of other combinations is not included in this document.
This document is also applicable to non-spray fuses with natural zero-point current interruption.
Note 1: For detailed information on selecting fuse grades, see Chapters 5 and 12.
Note 2: For fuses protecting capacitor and transformer circuits, additional requirements must be met, which are specified in GB/T 15166.4-2021 and GB/T 15166.6-2023, respectively.
Note 3: This document does not address noise levels and the emission of hot gas during the interruption of fault current in certain types of spray fuses.
