GB/T 42567.1-2023 Reference conditions and procedures for testing industrial and process measurement transmitters—Part 1:General procedures for all types of transmitters
Basic Information
Scope
This document establishes a general framework for defining the reference conditions and procedures for testing all types of industrial process measurement transmitters used in measurement and control systems in the industrial process and machinery fields. These reference conditions are divided into "standard reference conditions" and "environmental and process reference conditions". The former are used to determine the accuracy of the measurement, while the latter are used to evaluate the impact of external factors on the measurement.
In this document, analog transmitters are process measurement transmitters with analog current or voltage outputs, regardless of the complexity of the technology and circuitry used. All other transmitters with only digital outputs or mixed analog and digital outputs (such as HART) are considered digital transmitters.
This document provides general testing procedures for transmitters, applicable to all types of industrial process measurement transmitters.
The remaining parts of this series of standards provide additional specific testing procedures for specific types of transmitters (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
Note 1: In industrial process applications, the term "industrial transmitter" or "process transmitter" is often used to refer to process measurement transmitters.
Note 2: To simplify the expression, the abbreviation "transmitter" is used instead of "industrial process measurement transmitter".
Similar devices (such as sensors) with analog outputs are not within the scope of this document.
