GB/T 3836.35-2021 Explosive atmospheres—Part 35:Classification of areas for explosive dust atmospheres

Scope

This document specifies the identification and classification of sites where explosive dust environments and potentially flammable dust layers exist, so that the ignition sources in these sites can be properly assessed.
In this document, explosive dust environments and flammable dust layers are treated differently. Chapter 4 describes the classification of sites with explosive dust clouds, while dust layers are considered as one of the possible release sources. Chapter 7 describes the ignition hazards of dust layers.
This document adopts effective on-site cleaning based on factory cleaning to prevent the accumulation of dust layers. If effective on-site cleaning is not carried out, the site classification will include explosive dust clouds that may form from dust layers.
For sites where flammable fibers or flammable flying particles may pose a danger, the principles of this document can also be followed.
