Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product structure, general provisions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, and storage of rigid polyurethane spray-wrapped polyethylene prefabricated direct-buried insulation pipes (referred to as spray-wrapped insulation pipes) produced by polyurethane spraying and polyethylene winding processes. This standard applies to the manufacture and inspection of rigid polyurethane spray-wrapped polyethylene prefabricated direct-buried insulation pipes with a medium temperature (long-term operating temperature) not exceeding 120 °C and an accidental peak temperature not exceeding 140 °C.
