GB/T 18015.4-2025 Multicore and symmetrical pair/quad cables for digital communications—Part 4:Riser cables—Sectional specification

Scope

This document specifies the installation conditions, materials, and cable structures, as well as the performance and requirements for symmetrical cables used for digital communication in vertical cabling.
The cable categories specified in this document do not exceed Category 5 (Class D) defined in ISO/IEC 11801 (all parts), which includes cables with twisted pairs shielded by twisted pairs or star-twisted pairs, total shielding, and unshielded cable designs.
This document applies to vertical cabling systems defined in ISO/IEC 11801 (all parts), as well as to various communication systems specified in applicable detailed specifications. The cables specified in this document are suitable for operation under the voltage and current specified by the communication system, and are not intended for use in low-impedance power supplies such as those used in public power systems.
