Scope

This part of GB/T 17363 specifies the method for determining the main element content in gold products using an electron probe spectrometer.
This part is applicable to the determination of the gold content in gold products with relatively uniform compositions. It is also applicable to the determination of the surface gold content in gold-plated or gold-clad products with a thickness greater than 3 μm.
This part is not applicable to the determination of the overall gold content in gold products with uneven compositions or those with plating layers.
