Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the tear strength of small specimens (Delft specimens) of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber. This standard is applicable to vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber. Note: The test results obtained by this method are not consistent with those described in GB/T 529. This method is more suitable for testing small finished products. When there are no restrictions on the materials used, the method described in GB/T 529 is usually preferred.
