Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation, and storage for methylene chloride difluoride used in industry. This standard applies to methylene chloride difluoride produced by the liquid-phase catalytic method from methylene chloride and hydrogen fluoride. Type I of this product is mainly used as a refrigerant or a raw material for other fluorochemical products except tetrafluoroethylene, while Type II is used for the synthesis of tetrafluoroethylene. Molecular formula: CHClF2 Molecular weight: 86.47 (based on the 2001 International Atomic Weight Table)
