Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, marking methods, order content, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and quality certificates for steel wires used to reinforce rubber hoses. This standard applies to electroplated brass steel wires (referred to as steel wires) used to reinforce rubber hoses, with a nominal diameter of 0.20 mm to 2.40 mm for round steel wires, and a width × thickness of (0.30 mm to 0.81 mm) × (0.18 mm to 0.55 mm) for flat steel wires.
