Scope

This document describes the test method for evaluating the environmental stress cracking (ESC) resistance of thermoplastic plastics under constant tensile loading in chemical media.
This document is applicable to samples prepared by molding and/or machining, and is used to determine the ESC resistance of plastics exposed to different environments and the ESC resistance of different plastics exposed to specific environmental conditions.
