GB/T 31517-2015 Design requirements for offshore wind turbines
GB/T 31517-2015 Design requirements for offshore wind turbines
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies additional requirements for the evaluation of external conditions at the site of offshore wind turbines, as well as basic design requirements to ensure the integrity of offshore wind turbine projects. Its purpose is to provide an appropriate level of protection during the expected lifespan of wind turbines to prevent damage to them from various hazards.
This standard focuses on the engineering integrity of all structural components of offshore wind turbines, while also addressing various subsystems, such as control and protection mechanisms, internal electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
If the support structure of a wind turbine withstands hydrodynamic loads, it can be considered an offshore wind turbine. The design requirements specified in this standard cannot fully guarantee the engineering integrity of floating offshore wind turbines.
This standard should be used in conjunction with the IEC and ISO standards, as well as corresponding national standards mentioned in Chapter 2. In particular, this standard fully complies with the requirements of GB/T 18451.1. The safety level of offshore wind turbines designed according to this standard should not be lower than that specified in GB/T 18451.1. In some chapters, content is excerpted from GB/T 18451.1 to facilitate a clear understanding of the specified requirements.
