Scope

This part of YY 0055 specifies the requirements and test methods for light curing machines (hereinafter referred to as light curing machines) used in dental clinics for the light curing of composite resins, which use quartz tungsten halogen lamps as light sources and obtain blue light with a wavelength in the range of 400 nm to 515 nm through special filters. This part applies to light curing machines powered by mains electricity or rechargeable internal power sources. This part does not apply to light curing machines used in dental laboratories for indirect restorations, adhesives, dentures, and other applications in the dental field.
