Scope

This document describes the performance test methods for PK-type automotive multi-V belts (hereinafter referred to as "belts"). It includes high-temperature constant tension force life test, misalignment noise test, pilling performance test, high-low temperature cycle test, pollution test, and five-wheel bending test methods.
This document is applicable to multi-V belts used for driving in automotive internal combustion engines, such as fans, motors, water pumps, compressors, power steering pumps, and superchargers.
This document is not applicable to elastic multi-V belts.
