GB/T 26237.1-2022 Information technology—Biometric data interchange formats—Part 1:Framework

Scope

This document describes: -- The usage of biometric data records; -- The processing levels and types of biometric data structures; -- The naming conventions of biometric data structures; -- The encoding schemes of format types. This document also describes the concepts, test types, and compliance testing methods for computer algorithms used to test biometric identification data exchange records or create such records. This document defines two types (Type A, i.e., biometric identification data exchange records and the systems that generate them; Type B, i.e., systems that use biometric identification data exchange records) and three levels of compliance testing (Level 1, checking the internal content of each field; Level 2, checking the internal consistency of the entire record; Level 3, checking whether the data records are a true representation of the original biometric data used in compliance testing). However, it only provides detailed descriptions and methods for the three levels of Type A testing. This document specifies common testing requirements, declarations, and test execution and reporting processes for most or all biometric identification data exchange formats. This document explicitly excludes the following areas: -- Detailed test elements, assertions, and descriptions of mandatory standard data sets for specific modalities required for testing, which are provided in subsequent parts of GB/T 26237; -- Verifying that implementation under test (IUT) can correctly process biometric identification data exchange records using consistent biometric identification data exchange records (Type B testing); -- Compliance testing required by CBEFF; -- Testing other features of biometric identification products or other types of biometric identification products (i.e., acceptability, performance, robustness, security).
