Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the determination of reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars in grain, as well as the principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, operating procedures, result calculation, and reproducibility of two methods for determining reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars: the potassium ferricyanide method and the Fehling's reagent method.
