Scope

The general requirements of the GB/T 4214 series of standards apply to household and similar-purpose appliances powered by the grid or batteries, including their accessories and components.
Unless otherwise specified in the special requirements of the GB/T 4214 series of standards, similar-purpose applications are understood to be used under conditions similar to those of the home environment, such as in small hotels, cafes, tea rooms, hotels, barber shops, and laundries.
Addition:
This document applies to free-air-delivery type room air conditioners (hereinafter referred to as air conditioners) for household and similar-purpose use, which adopt air-cooled and water-cooled condensers and fully enclosed motor-driven compressors with a rated cooling capacity of up to 14,000 W, and are designed to create a comfortable indoor environment. It also applies to portable air conditioners with a rated cooling capacity of up to 14,000 W, including split portable and integrated portable air conditioners, as well as dehumidifiers that use a motor-driven vapor-compression refrigeration cycle for dehumidification.
This document does not apply to multi-zone air conditioning units, ducted air conditioners, and packaged air conditioners.
