Scope

This part of YY/T 0809 specifies the test method for measuring the short-term deformation of press-fit acetabular components used in total hip joint replacement under specific laboratory conditions. It also stipulates the test conditions, takes into account important parameters affecting the test components, and describes the installation method of the test samples. In addition, it specifies the test parameters for press-fit acetabular components. This test method is suitable for comparing and evaluating the design and materials of different acetabular components used in total hip joint replacement under similar test conditions. The stress conditions of acetabular components in the body are generally different from those specified in this test method. The results obtained from this test cannot be directly used to predict the performance of acetabular components in the body. This part does not include the inspection method for test samples.
