GB/T 44559.1-2024 Plastics—Determination of puncture impact behaviour of rigid plastics—Part 1:Non-instrumented impact testing

Scope

This document describes a method for determining the punching performance of flat hard plastics (such as square or round plates).
This document specifies different types of samples and their test conditions.
This document is applicable to drop hammer impact tests perpendicular to the plane of plastics and molding materials.
This document determines the impact performance of plastics by measuring the impact damage energy threshold of many samples. The test data obtained should not be used for design calculations.
This document is suitable for samples with a thickness of 1 mm to 4 mm.
Note: For samples with a thickness less than 1 mm, it is recommended to prioritize testing using ISO 7765 (all parts); for samples with a thickness greater than 4 mm, they are not within the scope of this document and ISO 6603-2.
This document is applicable to the following materials:
—— Hard thermoplastic molding and extrusion materials, including filled, unfilled, and reinforced materials, as well as plates;
—— Hard thermoset molding and extrusion materials, including filled and reinforced materials, plates, laminates;
—— Fiber-reinforced or multi-directionally reinforced thermoset and thermoplastic composites, such as felts, fabrics, textile rovings, chopped fibers, composite reinforcements, untwisted rovings, and ground fibers, as well as sheets made from prepregs (prepreg blanks).
This document is applicable to molded samples, as well as samples obtained by machining products such as molded plates, laminates, extruded or cast plates, etc.
