Scope

This document specifies the type and size, technical requirements, marking, labeling, and marking of hexagonal flat round head flange screws with reduced bearing capacity due to their head structure. This document applies to screws with thread sizes from M3 to M16, coarse thread, performance grades of 8.8 and 10.9, and product grades of A, with reduced bearing capacity, made of steel. Note: The minimum tensile load for reduced bearing capacity (related to the head size and hexagonal insertion depth specified in this document) must be marked (with "0" added before the performance grade). For all sizes and all performance grades, the head bearing capacity is calculated as 80% of the full bearing capacity (see Table 4).
