Scope

This part of GB/T 228 specifies the principles, definitions, symbols, and explanations of the tensile testing method for metal materials at liquid helium temperature (boiling point is -269 °C or 4.2 K, designated as 4 K), the specimen and its size measurement, testing equipment, testing requirements, performance determination, and test reports.
This part is applicable to the determination of the tensile properties of metal materials at liquid helium temperature.
