JJG 596-2026 Verification Regulation of Fixed Alternating-current Electrical Energy Meters

Scope

This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-service inspection of installed AC energy meters with a nominal frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz and a nominal voltage not exceeding 600 V.
For energy meters with multiple tariffs, maximum demand, prepayment, and other functions (such as smart energy meters, multifunctional energy meters, and multi-tariff energy meters), the procedure specifies corresponding verification items. Other meters with the above-mentioned functions can refer to the verification items of the corresponding functions to implement this procedure.
This procedure does not apply to standard energy meters and digital energy meters (energy meters with measured voltage and current as digital quantities).
