Effectively preventing food waste in the online catering sector and promoting civilized, healthy, rational, and green online consumption are of great significance for ensuring national food security, advocating social civilization, advancing the construction of a resource-saving society, promoting sustainable economic and social development, and safeguarding national security. This document, as an important support for implementing the provisions on preventing food waste in the "Anti-Food Waste Law of the People's Republic of China", further enriches and improves the regulatory system for preventing food waste in the catering industry, and guides and regulates the work of preventing food waste in online catering services, which is of great practical significance.
