Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for nylon 6 short fibers and nylon 66 short fibers.
This standard applies to nylon 6 short fibers with a linear density of 0.89 dtex to 14.00 dtex, and nylon 66 short fibers with a linear density of 0.89 dtex to 6.11 dtex, in the form of natural color, semi-matte, glossy, and circular cross-section short fibers. Other types of nylon short fibers can be used as reference for application.
