Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for the halogenated hydrocarbon 1301 (chemical name: trifluoromethyl bromide) fire extinguishing system (hereinafter referred to as the "fire extinguishing system") on ships. This document is applicable to the engine rooms, cargo oil pump rooms, hangars, jet fuel isolation rooms, jet fuel pump rooms, refueling stations, electronic equipment rooms, and loading areas of vehicles not loaded with any cargo on various types of ships, as well as halogenated hydrocarbon total flooding fire extinguishing systems in small compartments prone to fire. Other compartments may refer to and implement this document accordingly.
