Scope
This document specifies the types and dimensions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of drive sprockets for mining circular chain drives (hereinafter referred to as "sprockets"). This document is applicable to drive sprockets used for traction by circular chains or compact chains in equipment such as scraper conveyors, scraper reclaimers, coal plows, tunneling machines, and coal mining machines, as well as drive sprockets in other equipment that use circular chains for traction.
