Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking of steel wires used in urban bridge cables, general requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, acceptance, marking, packaging, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to bright steel wires, galvanized steel wires, zinc-5% aluminum mixed rare earth alloy-coated steel wires, and epoxy-coated steel wires used in urban bridge projects. Other steel wires used in civil engineering projects may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
