Scope
This document specifies an overview of food choppers and mixers, a description of related hazards, technical requirements, verification of measures, inspection rules, and usage information.
This document applies to food choppers and mixers with fixed hoppers used in processing products, where the capacity of the hopper is ≤150 L.
This document applies to machines used for chopping, mixing, stirring, and blending semi-finished products, finished products, and raw materials.
Note: These types of machines are mainly used in the food and catering industries, such as restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and bistros, as well as in canteens of industrial and mining enterprises.
This document does not apply to:
——Household machines;
——Machines specifically used in food industry processing (such as pet food, canning industry, and industrial meat processing);
——Small machines specifically used for mixing liquids (such as those with an impeller, typically driven from the top).
This document does not cover:
——Vibration hazards;
——Heat hazards;
——Hazards caused by pressure.
