Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, and storage for prefabricated directly buried insulated valves used in urban heating systems. This standard applies to the manufacture and inspection of prefabricated directly buried insulated valves designed to transport media with a continuous operating temperature of greater than or equal to 4°C and less than or equal to 120°C, an occasional peak temperature of less than or equal to 140°C, and an operating pressure of less than or equal to 2.5 MPa.
