Scope
This standard specifies the responsibilities of both parties for gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, check valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves used in the petrochemical industry, as well as valve evaluation, document processing, and re-evaluation of valves.
This standard serves as an evaluation procedure for assessing the structure and quality of valves manufactured by valve manufacturers, but does not replace the acceptance standards for valve products upon leaving the factory.
The valves evaluated in this standard refer only to those manufactured by the evaluated manufacturers locally, and do not include valves manufactured in branch factories elsewhere.
Valves with similar structures can be evaluated in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
