Scope

This document specifies the structural types, technical requirements, materials, test methods, and inspection rules for steel ball valves used in the oil, petrochemical, and related industries. This document applies to: - Ball valves with flange connection ends and butt-welded connection ends, with nominal pressures of PN16 to PN100, nominal sizes of DN15 to DN600, pressure classes of Class150 to Class600, and nominal sizes of NPS1/2 to NPS24; - Ball valves with threaded connection ends and socket-welded connection ends, with nominal pressures of PN16 to PN140, nominal sizes of DN8 to DN50, pressure classes of Class150 to Class800, and nominal sizes of NPS1/4 to NPS2; - Full-bore and reduced-bore ball valves, with floating ball structures and fixed ball structures; - Applicable temperature range: -46°C to 260°C. Ball valves with metal and ceramic sealing pairs may be referenced for implementation.
