Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic types, technical requirements, inspection and testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, product quality certificates, and batch inspection quality certificates for gas cylinder valves. This document applies to valves used on gas cylinders for compressed, liquefied, and dissolved gases, which can be transported and refilled repeatedly, and operate in an ambient temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C with a nominal working pressure of no more than 35 MPa. This document does not apply to valves on welded insulated gas cylinders, fire-extinguishing gas cylinders, automotive gas cylinders, respiratory gas cylinders, liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, liquefied dimethyl ether gas cylinders, or industrial non-refillable welded steel cylinders.
