This document applies to round, special-shaped, and compacted steel wire ropes used for mine hoisting and related equipment in coal, metal, and non-metal mines.
This document does not apply to steel wire ropes used for balancing in coal, metal, and non-metal mines, or sealed steel wire ropes used in mine shaft railways.
