Scope

This document specifies the general design requirements, basic dimensions, and performance requirements for steel O-ring end-sealed pipe fittings, as well as the qualification determination tests. Such pipe fittings are suitable for metal pipes with a nominal outer diameter of 6 mm to 50 mm or hoses with a nominal inner diameter of 6.3 mm to 51 mm. End-sealed pipe fittings are suitable for fluid transmission and general applications where elastic sealing can be used to prevent fluid leakage (including leakage caused by assembly deviations). The pipe fittings specified in this document are suitable for transition connections between metal pipes or hose fittings and oil ports that comply with GB/T 2878.1 (for related hose fittings, see GB/T 9065.1).
