Scope

This part of GB/T 14034 specifies the general requirements and dimensional requirements for 24° conical pipe joints sealed with sleeve or O-rings, as well as their performance and qualification testing. Such pipe joints are suitable for use with hard pipes made of ferrous and non-ferrous metals with an outer diameter of 4 mm to 42 mm, and are applicable to fluid transmission systems within the pressure range and temperature specified in this part.
Such pipe joints are used to connect flat-ended hard pipes or hoses to oil ports that comply with ISO 6149-1, ISO 1179-1, and ISO 9974-1. (Related hose technical requirements are specified in GB/T 9065.2.)
When the fluid transmission system operates under the working pressure shown in Table 1, such pipe joints can provide full-flow connections. However, since the system working pressure is affected by many factors, the pressure values shown in Table 1 cannot be inferred as the minimum guarantee. For various applications, users and manufacturers need to conduct sufficient tests and inspections to ensure that the required performance is met.
Note 1: For fluid transmission systems used in new designs, see the requirements in Section 9.6. Where the application requirements allow the use of rubber seals, pipe joint designs that comply with national standards and include rubber seals should be preferred.
Note 2: For use conditions outside the specified pressure and/or temperature range, see Section 5.4.
Note 3: The pipe specifications mentioned in this part all refer to the outer diameter.
