Scope

This part of GB/T 889 specifies the type, dimensions, technical requirements, and marking of hexagonal locking nuts with fine-thread Type 1 non-metallic inserts. This part is applicable to hexagonal locking nuts with fine-thread, nominal thread diameter D=8 mm to 36 mm, performance grade 6, 8, and 10, and product grade A and B for Type 1 non-metallic inserts. Grade A is used for nuts with D ≤ 16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts with D > 16 mm.
