Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for polyvinyl chloride gloves used in medical examination and diagnosis to prevent cross-infection between patients and users, or for preventing cross-infection when treating patients, as well as for gloves used in handling contaminated medical materials. This standard sets out the performance and safety requirements for single-use polyvinyl chloride medical examination gloves, but the safe and correct use of examination gloves, the sterilization process, and the subsequent handling, packaging, and storage processes are not within the scope of this standard. This standard applies to single-use polyvinyl chloride medical examination gloves used in medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment of patients, as well as in the handling of contaminated medical materials.
