Scope
This standard applies to single involute cylindrical gears for parallel shaft drive with a normal modulus of 0.5 to 70 mm, tooth width of 4 to 1,000 mm, and pitch circle diameter of 5 to 10,000 mm. The basic tooth profile is defined in GB/T 1356-2001, "Standard Basic Tooth Profiles for Cylindrical Gears Used in General and Heavy Machinery". This standard is used to evaluate the gear accuracy of involute cylindrical products.
