Scope

This part of GB/Z 29619 specifies the structure and services of the INTERBUS fieldbus application layer (FAL), which is consistent with the OSI basic reference model (GB/T 9387.3—2008) and the OSI application layer structure (GB/T 17176—1997). The services and protocols of the application layer are provided by the application entities (AEs) in the application processes. An AE consists of a set of object-oriented application service elements (ASEs) and a layer management entity (LME) that manages the AEs. The ASEs provide communication services and operate according to a set of related application process object (APO) classes. One of the ASEs is the management ASE, which provides a set of common management services for instances of the AL class. This part specifies the interaction between remote applications, which relies on: — The user defining the abstract model used by application resources (objects) through FAL services; — Primitive operations related to each application layer service (interaction between the INTERBUS fieldbus application layer and its users); — Parameters related to each primitive operation; — The valid sequence and interrelationships of each service primitive.
