Scope

This part of GB/Z 29619 describes the INTERBUS application layer protocols, which are necessary to provide the application layer services defined in GB/Z 29619.5-2013.
The application layer protocols govern the interaction between remote applications, relying on:
——Coding rules for application layer protocol data units (APDUs);
——A common abstract syntax definition for these APDUs;
——A protocol state machine description for processing APDUs and primitives in the correct order;
——Mappings of APDUs sent to and from the data link layer services, which are defined in GB/Z 29619.4-2013.
The purpose of this part is to define the protocol, which provides:
——A fieldbus data link layer at the boundary between the application layer and the data link layer of the fieldbus reference model;
——System management at the boundary between the application layer of the fieldbus reference model and system management.
