Scope

This part specifies the method of dispersing pigments and fillers by sand milling. This part should be used in conjunction with the evaluation method described in GB/T 21867. The agreed low-viscosity paint base system should be used. This part should be read in conjunction with GB/T 21868.1—2008. This method is only applicable to grinding materials with low to medium viscosity that allow the sand mill balls to move freely. Therefore, the viscosity of the grinding materials applicable to this method should be higher than that of the grinding materials suitable for the dispersion method specified in GB/T 21868.2—2008.
