Scope

This section specifies the method of dispersing pigments and extender pigments using an automatic flat grinding machine. This method is suitable for comparing a small number of samples in pigment quality control. This section should be used in conjunction with the evaluation method described in GB/T 21867. A high-viscosity paint base system with agreed upon non-volatile solvents should be used. This section should be read in conjunction with GB/T 21868.1—2008. This method is limited to high-viscosity grinding materials. The results obtained cannot be compared with the dispersion results obtained using other dispersion methods.
