Scope

This standard specifies the classification and naming, requirements, inspection rules, marking, factory documents, and packaging of liquid-liquid separation cyclones (hereinafter referred to as cyclones).
This standard applies to cyclones used for the separation of non-homogeneous two-phase liquid systems. The dispersed phase exists in the form of droplets in the continuous phase, with a concentration of no more than 60,000 mg/L, an average particle size of no less than 5 μm, an operating temperature where the viscosity of the continuous phase does not exceed 0.005 N·s/m2, and a density difference between the continuous phase and the dispersed phase of no less than 0.05 g/cm3.
