Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance requirements for heads used in pressure vessels made of steel, aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel, and nickel alloys, as well as common head types and basic parameters.
1.2 This standard applies to hemispherical, oval, disc-shaped, spherical, flat-bottomed, and conical heads used in pressure vessels made of whole plates and assembled plates by stamping, spinning, rolling, and segmental forming.
1.3 The manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance requirements for heads used in atmospheric pressure vessels and other pressure-bearing equipment can also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
