GB/T 7260.4-2008 Uninterruptible power systems(UPS)—Part 1-2:General and safety requirements for UPS used in restricted access locations
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 7260 applies to electronic uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment with energy storage devices in the DC circuit. This part references the relevant content of GB 4943—2001 and IEC 609501:2001.
The main function of the UPS equipment included in this part is to ensure the continuity of AC power output. UPSs can also maintain the specified characteristics of the power supply, thereby improving the quality of the power supply. The notes on regional differences in the relevant sections of GB 4943—2001 and IEC 609501:2001 also apply.
This part applies to portable, stationary, fixed, or built-in UPSs intended for installation in restricted access areas and used in low-voltage distribution systems. This part specifies the requirements for ensuring the safety of maintenance personnel.
This part aims to ensure the safety of UPSs installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's specified methods. UPSs can be a single UPS unit or an internally interconnected UPS system.
This part does not include DC-powered electronic ballasts (IEC 60347 and IEC 60925) and UPSs based on rotating motors.
