GB 25286.6-2010 Non-electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres—Part 6:Protection by control of ignition source "b"
Basic Information
Scope
This part specifies the design and manufacturing requirements for equipment of protection type "b" for use in explosive environments, which adopts the control ignition source method.
This part is a supplement to GB25286.1. The content of GB25286.1 is also fully applicable to equipment manufactured in accordance with the provisions of this part.
Equipment that meets the relevant provisions of this part also meets the requirements of the following types:
——Class I, Mb-level equipment, which does not generate ignition sources that can cause ignition during normal operation and under harsh operating conditions, especially during rough handling in mines and when environmental conditions change;
——Class II, Gc- or III, Dc-level equipment, which does not generate ignition sources that can cause ignition during normal operation;
——Class II, Gb- or III, Db-level equipment, which does not generate ignition sources that can cause ignition during normal operation and under expected fault conditions;
——Class II, Ga- or III, Da-level equipment, which does not generate ignition sources that can cause ignition during normal operation and under foreseeable or rare fault conditions.
Note: The national standard for Class I, Ma-level equipment is currently being formulated. The standard EN 50303 can be referred to for the requirements of Class I, M1-level (corresponding to Class Ma-level in this part) equipment, including the requirements for electrical and non-electrical equipment.
This type of protection can be used for the manufacture of other Gc- and Dc-level equipment that have ignition sources during normal operation, for example, equipment that does not comply with GB25286.1.
The anti-ignition protection types specified in this part can be used alone or in combination with other anti-ignition protection types to provide protection for Class I, Mb-level, Class II, Ga, Gb, Gc-level, and Class III, Da, Db, Dc-level equipment in
