GB/T 3836.29-2021 Explosive atmospheres—Part 29:Non-electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres—Constructional safety “c”,control of ignition source “b”, liquid immersion “k”

Scope

This document specifies the design and structural requirements for non-electrical equipment used in explosive environments that adopt the explosion-proof types of structural safety "c", control ignition source "b", and liquid immersion "k".
This document applies to Ex equipment, Ex components, protective systems, devices, and assemblies of these products that adopt the explosion-proof types of structural safety "c", control ignition source "b", and liquid immersion "k".
This document supplements and modifies the requirements of GB/T 3836.28—2021. When there are conflicts between the requirements of this document and those of GB/T 3836.28—2021, the requirements of this document shall take precedence.
Without additional protective measures, the explosion-proof types "c", "k", and "b" are not suitable for Class I EPL Ma equipment.
The ignition protection types specified in this document can be used independently or in combination with other ignition protection types to meet the requirements of Class I, Class II, or Class III equipment determined according to the ignition hazard assessment in GB/T 3836.28—2021.
