Scope
This document specifies the general principles, assessment process, data collection, pipeline section division, risk assessment, risk mitigation and control measures for buried pipeline risk assessment, as well as risk assessment reports and risk reassessment.
This document is applicable to risk assessment in three stages of buried gathering pipelines, long-distance pipelines, and public gas pipelines, including design review, completion acceptance, and in-service operation. The risk assessment of buried industrial pipelines and buried public heat pipelines shall be implemented with reference to this document.
This document is not applicable to risk assessment of non-buried pipelines in stations and factory areas.
