Scope
This standard specifies the usage characteristics, representation methods, technical requirements, markings, test methods and requirements, inspection rules, and packaging, transportation, and storage of cables used for charging electric vehicles.
This standard applies to charging cables with a rated voltage of AC 450/750 V and below, and DC 1.0 kV and below, used in conductive charging connection devices for electric vehicles (which may include signal or control wires).
