Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of polytetrafluoroethylene bellows compensators (also known as polytetrafluoroethylene expansion joints, hereinafter referred to as "compensators"). This standard applies to corrosion-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene bellows compensators used in pipelines or equipment to compensate for the thermal expansion of pipelines and equipment, as well as to absorb vibration and reduce noise.
