GB/T 1040.1-2025 Plastics—Determination of tensile properties—Part 1:General principles
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general principles for determining the tensile properties of plastics and composite materials under specified conditions. Other sections of this document specify the methods for determining the tensile properties of different types of samples for different types of materials.
This document is used to study the tensile properties of samples and determine the tensile strength, tensile modulus, and other aspects of the tensile stress-strain relationship under specified conditions.
This document is applicable to the following materials:
——Unfilled, filled, and reinforced hard and semi-hard (see 3.12 and 3.13) thermoplastic molding, extrusion, and casting materials; hard and semi-hard thermoplastic sheets and films.
——Hard and semi-hard thermoset molding materials, including filled and reinforced composites; hard and semi-hard thermoset panels, including laminates.
——Unidirectional or non-unidirectional fiber-reinforced thermoset and thermoplastic composites, reinforcing materials such as felts, fabrics, untwisted rovings, chopped filaments, mixed fiber-reinforced materials, untwisted rovings, and crushed fibers; sheets made from pre-impregnated materials (pre-impregnated blanks).
——Thermally induced liquid crystal polymers.
This document is generally not applicable to rigid foam materials (see ISO 1926) or sandwich structures containing microporous materials.
